The SAG410-U has developed a new generation of dust disperser which is able to provide smallest feed rates of all common test dusts as ISO 12103-2 A2/A4, Pural NF/SB and soot. With this special performance that dust disperser from the SAG 410/U series is suitable for testing high performance filter media at small filter cross sections. There is a number of variable parameters to adjust feeding rate in a range between 50 mg/h ... 20 g/h. As a closed cycle feeding technique is applied a non-stop operation with a constant dust output can be guaranteed. The feeding of different test dust systems just depends on their bulk properties as it is stored and fed as a loose dust material. The material is not impacted in order to avoid feeding fluctuations due to different levels of dust impaction. The SAG 440 ASHRAE dust disperser has been developed to meet requirements established by ASHRAE 52.2 and DIN EN779 standards for testing performance of general ventilation air cleaning devices. Because of both ingredients carbon black and cotton linters to be used in the test dust for loading tests make it difficult to disperse, the dust dispersing apparatus has been established by the standard and clearly described. In comparison to traditional powder feeders applied for thermal spraying or coating processes the powder pump use the dense phase convey for powder transport in the piping instead of the pneumatic convey. It uses the principle of an air tube transport system for the transport of powder. This allows much higher powder feeding rates at lower powder transport gas flow rates (by factor 3 to 10 higher) and reduces risk of plugging in case of very fine powders. The mechanical dispersion units are very easy to swap. An additionnal unit will allow you to extend the dosing range of your SAG to that of a SAG410 L (or H) for exemple. This is a cost effective way of extending the capabilities of a SAG. Confirm type of conversion upon ordering.
