Aquous suspension 15 mL, optimal concentration for better dispersion and colloidal stability ; density 1.05 g/cc, refraction index 1.59 at 589 nm ; 1 % solid. They are ideal for electron microscope calibration, AFM, laser diffraction, colloid research, turbidimeters, etc. They are also used for bacteria, virus, ribosome, sub-cell sizing and other scientific purposes.

The particles are suspended in an ultraclean diluent and the concentration is optimized for use in light obscuration particle counters and other low concentration counting applications. The particle diameters are traceable to the Standard Meter through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).)
